Towering above the historical town centre with timber-framed houses of the 15th century you can see an old fortress, the “Starkenburg” which lent its name to our hotel. Many a visitor is attracted to this idyllic town at the bottom of the Strakenburg - not only because of the charming sight like the medieval district council, the town hall or the the museum of the ethology but also because of its proximity to Heidelberg, Weinheim, Frankfurt, the Rhein- Main area, the airport and the economically flourishing Rhein- Neckar area.
